Overview

Welcome to the world of Junker, an adventure game set in a dying post-post-apocalyptic world that happens to be run by robots. You are a robot named EV4 (ee-va) and you happen to be favored by the Llama gods. Your objective is to save the world and help society rebuild before it's too late... You must get the generator up and running again or face your world getting obliterated.

Junker is for players who are interested in backstory, mystery, exploration, and amazing characters — including the Llama 'god' narrator and a colorful cast of robot townsfolk.

What Makes Junker Different

Junker stands apart from other adventure games in how the Collectathon system interacts with story and mechanical progression. You collect junk to progress — collecting is a main objective rather than being an option like most adventure games. You get to explore, not just collect.

Three Levels of Exploration

• The town you grew up in and where you live now
• An ancient civilization's city in the dunes, filled with mysterious technology
• The caves, rumored to contain a beast of unimaginable hunger that the ancients bent to their will within a generator

The Story of the World

Iwiapo colonized this planet to mine from other planets and grow itself as a new home for their civilization — a Massive Planet Mining Automaton that is ever growing. The Planet uses heat and resources from mined objects to convert them to power supply through a blackhole.

Unbeknownst to the Iwiapo, the power made an ever-growing issue of a waste product with similar properties to a black hole, but with non-infinite gravity. They researched this waste product and were trying to manage it, but the Machine grew faster than the Iwiapo could manage it — and eventually the waste ended up killing the Iwiapo.

The Planet made service robots to try and keep itself running, but eventually could no longer fuel itself as the service robots didn't work properly. The whole machine shut down, drying up the ground-up rock and earth, making massive deserts across its surfaces.

The service robots kept going. Slowly building new models as the old ones began to run down, developing into a full-on civilization. But the knowledge of how they were originally created and their original purpose has been shrouded in mystery, and only survives through vague myths.

The robots ended up in little encampments around the massive mining machine. And now they are coming to want to learn where they truly came from. As the amount of archaeologists grows, new technology based off of the old tech of the machine fuels new inventions and upgrades — letting them explore further and further reaches. The only true remnants of knowledge of the old world come from Llama AI Malware that is more mischievous than anything.
